Cinnamon Buns for Bread Machine

Dough:
1 ¼ cups water
3 Tbsp skim milk powder
1 egg, beaten
2 Tbsp butter
¼ cup sugar
1 ¼ tsp salt
4 ¼ cups white flour
1 ¼ tsp yeast

Brown Sugar Nut Syrup:
¼ cup butter
2/3 cup brown sugar, packed
3 Tbsp water
¾ cup pecan halves

Maple Butter Tarts

Ingredients:

Make your favourite pastry recipe — enough to fill ten muffin cups

1/2 cup packed brown sugar (125 ml)
1/2 cup real maple syrup (125 ml)
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted (60 ml)

Wheatberry Salad

1 cup wheatberries (whole grains of wheat)
Kosher salt
1 cup finely diced red onion (1 onion)
6 tablespoons good olive oil, divided
2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
3 scallions, minced, white and green parts

Rhubarb Pecan Muffins

These are really good!
1 1/2 cups flour
3/4 cups brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt

1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 egg
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup chopped rhubarb
1/2 cup chopped pecans

Topping:
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup chopped pecans
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

This Rhubarb Crisp Recipe is my Current Favourite!

Step 1:
4 cups roughly chopped rhubarb (I cut mine into 1″ pieces)
1/4 cup all purpose flour
1/4 cup granulated (white) sugar
1/2 cup strawberry jam (you can experiment with others)

Grilled Chicken and Red Onion Salad

serves 4 people
1 large red onion;
1/4 cup olive oil;
1/4 cup chicken stock;
3 Tb lemon juice;
2 Tb each chopped fresh basil and oregano or 1 tsp dried;
2 tsp minced jalepeno pepper;
1 tsp Dijon mustard;

Jan’s Broccoli Salad

Serves six to twelve people. (that’s helpful isn’t it??!!)
For the Salad Part:

3 Large Broccoli stems with florets
1 lb. bacon fried crisp and crumbled
